The idea of a simplified invoicing and payments service for freelancers and sole entrepreneurs arose because the founders of Abillio had such a need doing side gigs as freelancers in design, programming, branding, mentoring, tax consulting, etc. During freelancing we had to face the dilemma of setting up our own company and taking on additional burdens (bureaucracy, accounting) or asking a friend about the possibility of using his company for invoicing and payments. It soon became clear that such a problem affected many, especially as a result of the 2021 tax reform in Latvia.
Abillio's mission
Tax reform, changes in the labor market because of the pandemic, new remote work opportunities have now created conditions in which people often have to think about how to get paid for their work without hustle and headache and at the same time to be legally compliant, and receive fair payment for their services. Our solution will make life easier for the rapidly growing sector of gig economy (freelancers, contract workers, side gigs), offering the opportunity to start a business quickly and easily.
